Who deserves recognition?

It's easy to get hung up on what's not working well, or on the next challenge. This week, practice gratitude instead.

This week, take a few minutes to think about what you’re thankful for. What’s going well at work? Who on your team is excelling? What have they done well? What makes it so good?

Next, think back: have you done a good enough job of acknowledging what you’re thankful for? Do your team members know that you’re pleased, and why? If not, make sure you pass on your praise this week.

Does your organisation have any kind of program for recognising employees who are doing a great job? Do you think someone on your team deserves that recognition? If so, use your personal development time this week to put forward that recommendation.
